Information about the CCDO/CSCS Scheme

This is a summary of the scheme only. If you have any enquiries, please contact NDTG directly.

Demolition Site Operative card
For new/inexperienced Demolition Operatives only or for those operatives who have less than one year's experience. The card is only valid for 2 years and cannot be renewed.

To apply you must complete and/or return the following for each Operative:

• CCDO3 form (attaching 1 passport photograph)
• Current Asbestos Awareness & Demolition Safety Awareness course certificates - If your Operative(s) do not hold these course certificates, please complete and return the course booking form to attend a C&D one day combined course.
• Copy of a pass letter of the CSCS/Demolition/ConstructionSkills Health and Safety Test (valid for 2 years) (It is recommended that you order a revision book when booking the test – Booking Line Tel no. 0870 600 6020
• Follow the instructions on the back of the CCDO3 form

Demolition Operative Labourer card

If the Operative(s) is being assessed as a Demolition Operative (Labourer) he/she need not register for an NVQ.

To apply you must complete and/or return the following for each operative:

• CCDO1 form (attaching 1 passport photograph)
• Current Asbestos Awareness & Demolition Safety Awareness course certificates - If your Operative(s) do not hold these course certificates, please complete and return the course booking form to attend a C&D one day combined course.
• Copy of a pass letter of the CSCS/Demolition/ConstructionSkills Health and Safety Test (valid for 2 years) (It is recommended that you order a revision book when booking the test – Booking Line Tel no. 0870 600 6020).

Demolition Operative Experienced Worker Topman card (temporary valid for 3 years only)

• The Mattockman category will be awarded if you/your Operative fails to achieve the standard required for the Topman level in the Industry Assessment)
• To apply you must complete and/or return the same information as above (see Demolition Operative Labourer card) for each Operative plus the NVQ Registration Form for Demolition NVQ Level 2.
  

Fees for Labourer and Experienced Topman CCDO Assessments
Please return the Labourer and Topman application(s) and information with a cheque made payable to NDTG Ltd. The following sliding scale of Assessment fees (inc. VAT) are:

1. Operative £181.75
2. Operatives £346.25
3. Operatives £510.75
4. Operatives £675.25
5. Operatives £839.75 (Demolition Operative Labourer only)

Please note: All fees above include the cost of the CCDO CSCS Affiliated Card (£15.00 each).

The cost of travel at 50p per mile and travelling time at £40.00 per hour, for the Assessor to an assessment venue will be invoiced after the Assessments have taken place. Please note that a minimum charge of one hour will be applied.

Please send all Labourer and Experienced Worker Topman application form(s) to the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG) and the necessary arrangements for an Assessment by a National Demolition Training Group (NDTG)/NFDC Approved CCDO Assessor and NVQ Assessor (if applicable) will be made and notified to you. Please make cheques payable to NDTG Ltd.

Please note: CCDO/CSCS card applications cannot be processed without copies of current Asbestos Awareness and Demolition Safety Awareness Certificates and a Health & Safety Touch Screen Test pass.

Fees for CCDO Upgrade Assessments
If your Operative is already a cardholder, the CCDO upgrade fee to apply for the next level (e.g., Labourer to Topman or Experienced Worker Mattockman to Topman level) is £98.20 (inc. VAT) per Operative. Please follow the same instructions to apply.

Demolition Operative Full Topman card (full card valid for 5 years)
To apply, you must already hold a Demolition Operative Experienced Worker Topman card and must have achieved the Demolition NVQ Level 2 qualification.

You must complete the CCDO2 form and follow the instructions on the back of the form.

Demolition Supervisor card
This card is for Demolition Operative Full Topman card holders who have responsibility for the supervision of Operatives on site.

To apply you must complete and/or return the following for each operative:

• CCDO1 form (attaching 1 passport photograph)
• Current Asbestos Awareness course certificate - If your Operative(s) do not hold this course certificate, please complete and return the course booking form to attend a C&D course.
• Must be registered for Demolition NVQ Level 2 – If your Operative(s) is not registered, please complete and return the NVQ registration form.
• Copy of a pass letter of the Demolition Health and Safety Test (valid for 2 years) (It is recommended that you order a revision book when booking the test – Booking Line Tel no. 0870 600 6020).
• Attach copy of your Operative(s) Full/Experienced Worker Topman card

Please send Demolition Supervisor application form(s) to C&D Consultancy and on receipt, we will forward to the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG) and you will be notified of the next available 12 week Distance Learning Demolition Supervisor course date.

Please note: On successful completion of the course, the CSCS Demolition Supervisor card will be issued to Demolition Operative Full Topman card holders. However, if the Operative is a CCDO/CSCS Demolition Experienced Worker Topman cardholder, the CSCS Demolition Supervisor card will not be issued until the Operative has achieved the Demolition NVQ Level 2.
