HSE Plan of Work for 2012/2013

If you are unsure about the areas that HSE inspectors are going to concentrate on this year you need to take a look at the Plan of Work document on the HSE website which clearly sets out the action areas.

Some of the key ones are:-
  • Asbestos. Are all of your men fully trained in asbestos awareness and asbestos removal? If not, book them on to a course now so that when you get a visit from HSE it does not result in an FFI or an improvement notice. If you are unsure as to what training you need please contact john.woodward@demolishdismantle.co.uk and he will advise you.
  • Worker engagement. It is a requirement of the CDM 2007 Regulations that workers are engaged to improve the H&S culture. If you do not have a worker engaement scheme in operation why not consider Zero Harm training?
  • Leadership & Management. If you feel that your management team are "too busy" to do regular update training then whey not consider an "out of hours" or Internet based training scheme tailored to you needs? Full details can be obtained from john.woodward@demolishdismantle.co.uk
