CITB announce changes to the CSCS Operative card from 1st July 2014

From the 1st July the CSCS operative card will become the CSCS Labourer card and to obtain this green card you will need to achieve a new training qualification in addition to the HS&E Operative test.

To fulfill the training requirements Constructionskills have launched the Cskills Awards Level 1 award in Health & Safety in a construction environment. This qualification is now live for registration and until July the test will be delivered through a selection of Pearson VUE test centres only.

The assessment for this qualification includes the demonstration of how each learning outcome and assessment criteria has been met (formative assessment). The test combines the requirements for the end of qualification test and the HS&E Operatives test, both of which are required to be passed for candidates to successfully apply for the CSCS Labourer card. One test-two results.

In summary, to gain a CSCS Labourer card from 01 July 2014, the new training qualification needs to be achieved along with the HS&E Operative test being passed.
