NDTG clarify the Asbestos Awareness Tool Box Talk rules

We have been asked to clarify the position with regard to Asbestos Awareness Tool Box Talks.

NDTG have decided that asbestos awareness can be refreshed by use of a tool box talk but these are the requirements:-

1. The TBT must be delivered by someone directly employed by the company.
2. An external training provider or H&S professional cannot deliver the TBT.
3. The person nominated as the company representative to deliver the TBT must be approved by NDTG.
4. All asbestos awareness TBTs must be notified to NDTG in advance of the talk using the standard NDTG training notification course.
5. NDTG will issue certification for the course at a cost of £20.00 per person plus VAT.
