One year of training facts and figures

At the start of November we passed the 12 month period of the C&D training calendar, which means we have completed a full training year. This is an ideal opportunity to have a look at the figures and see just how well we are doing.

Since November last year we have run a total of 394 courses, or just over one course for everyday of the year. The majority of courses were asbestos and demolition awareness, but the Category B Asbestos and others such as Hot Works, Work at Height, and Harness Safety were also very popular. The chart below shows what courses we ran and how popular they were.

The number of participants on these courses amounted to 4,025, which means for the full year there was an average attendance per course of 10.2, which has been a constant figure across all recorded periods. During this period we have issued certificates to each candidate, which if placed on top of each other, would be the equivalent of 8 reams of standard paper.

Geographically we have literally run courses the length of the country, from the south coast to the Scottish Borders and of course everywhere in between. Our core venues in Liverpool, Birmingham, and London remain popular but we have also diversified by using other venues such as pubs, sports clubs and even village halls. Training local to the client not to us.

But it’s not just the quantity of training we do that is important, the quality of the training we deliver is even more important. Analysis of our course feedback has been very positive, with responses across all areas of questions showing an 80% rating of excellent and 100% of between Good and Excellent.

All this goes to prove that our motto of “Training to suit the client, not the trainer” remains very popular with our clients and is crucial to our success.
