Following many requests for a Demolition and Asbestos Awareness Course in the West Midlands on a Saturday, we are pleased to announce that our next course will be Saturday, 16th January.
The venue is still to be decided, but we expect it to be at our Darlaston training centre. The cost will be at the standard NDTG rates.

Fire extinguisher explosion seriously hurts scrap metal dealer
Fire extinguishers are meant to prevent injury, not cause it, but one man in Darlaston may never trust them again, even though the injury he incurred seems to be his own fault.
A scrap metal dealer visited European Metal Recycling Ltd. on Bentley Road South in Darlaston last week. He decided to use an axe to remove the brass collar from the neck of a fire extinguisher. However, the contents of the extinguishers are under pressure, so when hit with an axe the collar shot off and hit the man in question. It hit him with such force, paramedics had to be called and administer CPR as he suffered cardiac arrest.
He is now at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and remains in a serious condition. If he'd had a better understanding of fire extinguishers, or training on how they function, it's safe to assume this would never have happened.
