CSCS modify their CSCS Construction Site Operative Cards to address issues
From July 1st this year it has been decided that the green Construction Site Operative Card (CSO) will no longer be issued. This news comes following issues that were raised regarding how many were in the scheme coupled with the fact no assessment was required to receive one.
From July, a mandatory Health and Safety Level 1 qualification will be required to get into the CSCS scheme. There's also a requirement to pass the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years of applying for a new card.
To find out more about how the standards are being raised by the CSCS, please visit the CSCS website, which has much more detail on what is happening in July.
