The Health and Safety Executive offers a law poster that needs to be displayed in a prominent position in each workspace and/or the approved leaflet given to workers. The 2009 edition replaced the dated 1999 edition while at the same time making it much more visually appealing, leading to more people noticing and taking the time to read it.
If you are only familiar with the 1999 edition, then you need to take a look at the updated version. It reflects changes in the law to reduce the administrative cost to employers of having to provide additional written information on the poster or with the leaflet, and having to keep this information up to date.
The leaflet is free to download in a range of editions. The poster can also be purchased in A2 and A3 formats.
