THE NDTG has announced that the Demolition Plant Simulator Foundation Training Course will begin on May 13th. The other good bit of news is that match funding has been secured for the first 30 candidates. What that means is the 2-day course will only end up costing £112.50 rather than the regular £250.
Here's a description of the course as given by the NDTG:
"Delivered by experienced demolition plant trainers, with a full day theory training session at the start of the programme, candidates are sure to gain valuable knowledge, understanding and skills before they undertake any form of training on-site. The 2 day course will offer employers the confidence in the operator’s capabilities and will further assist in the development of on-site training programmes required by the individual. This is done through a feedback learner management system which will record operator’s performance on certain tasks and will enable employers to establish additional training needs.
The theory aspect of the course focuses on demolition plant safety ensuring that the operator has a full understanding of all health, safety and environment aspects when operating a demolition plant adapted 360 excavator.
It even has a High Reach Structural Awareness Taster Session for those ambitious operators looking to develop their career in the operation of demolition plant later on down the line."
The training will take place at NDTG in Hemel Hempstead with further details available in the Demolition Plant Simulator brochure. Please visit the NDTG website to book your place.
