New CCDO Card Training Available from C&D Consultancy

C&D Consultancy are pleased to announce that, as of the 1st January 2017, we are able to deliver the new CCDO Card Scheme courses up to, and including, the NVQ Level 6 Managers Course. The full list of CCDO courses available is as follows (please click the table below to see it full size):

For the Site Visitor Course and the CCDO Labourer Course a new NDTG Smart Card will be issued on completion of the single day course, receipt of a current Asbestos Awareness certificate, and proof of a touch screen test at operative level or above, passed within the previous two years.

On completion of the courses for the other cards and the required Asbestos and Touch Screen testing, the participant will receive a Red (Under Supervision) card. They will then have three years in which to complete the required level of NVQ, before the full Blue (Trained) card can be issued.

All participants on these C&D Consultancy courses will be enrolled on the required NVQ programmes with our partner organisation AKL Assessments Ltd. They will deal directly with participants to make arrangements for the NVQ assessments and criteria to be completed.

Should participants require the Asbestos Awareness training to complete the course requirements, we run regular courses at our Wombourne Training Facility, near Wolverhampton. Alternatively, we may be able to arrange for them to attend other courses around the country. These courses are part of the regular programme of training that we run and are detailed on our three-monthly training calendar, which is updated at the end of each month, and is available on request. A full list of CCDO specific training dates for 2017 is also available from the office.

For further details or to book places on courses please contact the office on 01902 324689 or email Stuart at stuart@demolishdismantle.co.uk.

World Skills UK show will feature NDTG's VR simulator

Regular attendees of the World Skills UK, The Skills Show will know all about the National Demolition Training Group VR simulator. And for the third year running it is set to put in another appearance and allow attendees to cause havoc on a (virtual) demolition site.

According to Lead Trainer Iain Kirk:

The simulator always draws in the crowds. It’s great fun getting young people on the simulator and putting them through their paces. At the same time, we hope to show young people that a career in demolition is a serious option for them leaving school. There are a number of career paths available in demolition and with the new CCDO Card Scheme there’s now a clear and progressive NVQ structure available at all levels from Demolition Apprentice through to Demolition Manager.

The Skills Show will be held later this week at the NEC in Birmingham between November 17-19. You can book your tickets at The Skills Show website.
