HSE FFI Scheme brings in around £75,000 in the first two months. Don't let your company be one of those fined

The HSE FFI scheme was designed as a means of funding the HSE, even though the Government would say that it wasn't, and so far it is working pretty well, mainly because construction and demolition companies are failing to do the basics resulting in fines when an HSE Inspector decides to call.

Recent fines in the demolition sector have been for the following "material breaches" of H&S Legislation, all basic errors by the head office or site management:-
  • Asbestos cement removal by workers with only awareness training and no face fit for their masks. Easily resolved by booking the men on to an NDTG CAT "B" asbestos removal course and a face fitting course. Book both today by contacting jill@demolishdismantle.co.uk
  • Chemical toilets on site when the site is 20 weeks duration. No excuse whatsoever today.
  • Inadequate induction given. Content of the induction can be found in CDM2007 Regulation 13.4. If you are unsure as to what is needed book your guys on to an NDTG Demolition awareness course today by contacting jill@demolishdismantle.co.uk
  • No training in the use of quickhitch
