We have just passed the 8 month period of the C&D training calendar which means we are three quarters of the way through our training year. This is an ideal opportunity to have a look at the figures and see just how well we are doing.
Since November last year we have run a total of 295 courses, which gives us a projection for the year of 443 although it would be great to break the 500 figure. On average this equates to one and a quarter courses for every day of the year. The majority of courses were asbestos and demolition awareness, but the Category B Asbestos and others such as Hot Works, Work at Height, and Harness Safety were also very popular.
The number of participants on these courses amounted to 3,000, which means our projected total for the full year is 4,500. The average attendance per course is 10.2, which has been a constant figure over the period.
Geographically we have literally run courses the length of the country, from the south coast to the Scottish Borders and of course everywhere in between. Our core venues in Liverpool, Birmingham, and London remain popular, but we have also diversified by using other venues such as pubs, sports clubs, and even village halls.
All this goes to prove that our motto of “Training to suit the client, not the trainer” remains very popular with our clients and is crucial to our success.
