Never be refused access to site by holding the relevant CSCS Card

LABOURER
If you have the Industry accredited Green Site Operative card that was available from completing the Operative Health, Safety and Environment Test historically, you now also have to complete a 1 day CITB Health and Safety Awareness course in addition to holding a valid Operative Health, Safety and Environment test to gain the Green Site Labourers CSCS Card.

SKILLED WORKER
In relation to Green Card holders, if they have a specific trade then we would advise they work towards a blue skilled worker card as many major contractors are now insisting that they hold a card relevant to the trade onsite.

On registration of a Level 2 NVQ (with a valid Operative Health, Safety and Environment test) the Red Experienced Worker card below can be applied for. This way they will instantly have a valid card for site access whilst working towards the blue skilled worker card within the timescale.

EXPERIENCED WORKER
This card is available to workers with on the job experience (normally at least one year in the last three).

The card is valid for one year and cannot be renewed. It is issued on a temporary basis, while a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ is being achieved. It is expected to be replaced by a skilled five year card on achievement of a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or higher.
