The Institute of Construction Management's next meeting is Tuesday April 12th

We've received details of the next regional meeting for the ICM, please see below:

The next regional meeting will be held on Tuesday April 12th at the St. Francis Social Club at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath with refreshments available from 6.00pm.

The topic for the meeting will be:

“CDM Workshop’ - The workshop will look at the requirements set out in regulation 12 relating to the production of the ‘Health and Safety File’

Programme:

18.00 Registration and Coffees with light refreshments

18.45 Welcome and Introduction – Dean Lundin - Chairman

19.00 CDM Workshop – facilitated by Roy Blamey and Tony Baker

The Workshop will look at the role of the Principal designer and his role in the preparation of the health and safety file AND CONSIDER WHO WOULD PREPARE THE FILE IN THE EVENT THAT THE PRINCIPAL DESIGNER FAILS TO PRODUCE A FILE.

The wording relating to the health and safety file has changed considerably since the 2007 Regulations and also seems to suggest that the ‘file’ is project based.

If you have any questions that you wish to add or scenarios from one of your own projects please send in the details prior to the meeting.

The meeting qualifies for CPD – CPD Certificates will be issued at the meeting to all those attending.

Our meetings are free to attend but it would be appreciated if a contribution of £5 could be made on the night towards the cost of the meeting and the refreshments – or if more convenient send a cheque in the sum of £5 for each delegate to the Event Organiser.

Please feel free to bring along other colleagues from your own firm, clients or others that you feel would be interested in attending the meeting

A booking form needs to be filled out in order to attend. Please contact Di Charlton on 01273 453394 or by e-mail: cliftonbrown@virginmedia.com for more information.
