A review of the NDTG AGM 2014
At the end of last week on Friday, February 7th, the NDTG held AGM 2014. It was located at the Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire and was opened by Richard Dolman the outgoing chairman.
We've included some images here, but a full write up of the event can be read over on the NDTG website. If you attended the AGM then this will be a nice reminder of what you experienced. For those who couldn't go, it's the best recap you could ask for of what you missed.

C&D increase the number of PTTLS qualified trainers to meet demand for courses
As orders continue to come in for courses in 2014 it has become apparent that not only are there not enough Saturdays for client training needs, but we need to increase the number of PTTLS qualified trainers to meet demand for our courses. We have, therefore, taken the decision to increase the number of trainers on our books to 10.
This increase has been driven by the high demand for our new 1, 2, 3 suite of Work at Height courses, which is proving popular with clients and trainees in equal measure.
If you need training in 2014 please email margaret@demolishdismantle.co.uk for dates, but please bear in mind that Saturdays will fill up very quickly and we are currently looking at dates in late March and early April for some courses. It is always worth asking for a Saturday, though, as we do get cancellations from time to time.

A heartfelt thank you

C&D would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the companies who have chosen us to deliver training in 2013. This year has seen a record level of training courses delivered in over 50 different subjects from NDTG Demolition Awareness to Stress Management and in over 120 venues around the UK.
This year we have the taken the decision that we will not be sending Christmas Cards or bottles of whisky to say thank you for the orders but we will, as in previous years, be making donations instead to a number of the smaller local charities that do not get national coverage and funding.
On behalf of those charities "Thank you for being a C&D customer in 2013 and we hope to retain you in 2014 and continue to deliver new courses and training methods throughout the next twelve months."

Is Temporary Works Training becoming a Permanent Requirement?
More and more of our customers are now undergoing training in temporary works for Co-ordinator or Supervisor and we wonder if this trend will become a permanent feature of our training schedule in 2014.
The change is being driven by UKCG companies to ensure that demolition companies undertaking work on UKCG sites have fully trained personnel in the required roles of Temporary Works Co-ordinator and Temporary Works Supervisor.
If your team require temporary works training why not book onto a C&D course now by emailing margaret@demolishdismantle.co.uk for more details and a quotation.
