Stress Levels on the Increase

"I'm so stressed!"

How many times have you heard this, or said this, during the last month?

If a recent study from the Skills and Employment Survey 2012 is correct, our stress levels are higher than ever. Several factors are cited in the report as being responsible for this increase. They include: speed of work, working to tight deadlines, issues relating to the recession, fear of job losses and financial constraints.

These are factors that we in the demolition industry are all too familiar with.

Not only do continued high levels of stress impact on our physical well being (contributing towards the development of diabetes and heart disease, for example), but they can also have a massive impact on our psychological well being. High stress levels affect our ability to concentrate and focus and can make us more prone to accidents.

C&D offers two bespoke courses that deal with some of the issues created by our rising stress levels and more importantly, these courses offer simple practical solutions that help to reduce our work related stress, thus making for a healthier, happier, safer and more productive workforce.
